Overview of book series: The Dericott Tales book series by Melanie Dickerson consists of six novels, each retelling a story of a beloved fairy tale. Novels can be read in chronological order, but it isn't required to understand or enjoy each book, as each novel can be read as a standalone. Set during the late 14th century in England, this book series follows the storyline of a family of five brothers and one sister as they each have their special romance. As a Christian and faith-based series, magical elements shown in the original fairy tales are replaced by religion, as faith and trusting in God is true magic. Each book showcases a beautiful romance between the two main characters of the story that will leave you wanting more of this clean romance. This Medieval period, fast-paced book series is perfect for younger readers in middle and high school as well as young adults.
