When I read this series a few years ago, I remember loving reading this book while on vacation! Dickerson's writing is beautifully crafted with a charming romance between Evangeline and Westley. The Silent Songbird is the seventh installment of the Hagenheim series by Melanie Dickerson, showcasing a well-done alternative retelling of the Little Mermaid fairy tale. Suitable for older middle school and high school readers.
