Synopsis of the book: Serena Taylor is hiding in Colorado’s high country to protect her son from her late husband’s family, and she knows the best way to keep custody of him is by marrying again. With single women in short supply, she has her pick of men. But having been in one loveless marriage already, she’s given up on love and simply wants to find a good father for her little boy. After multiple failed relationships, Weston Oakley’s meddling family has determined that he will never be able to find a wife. As the fifth and last installment of The Colorado Cowgirls series by Jody Hedlund, Claiming the Cowgirl is another super sweet Christian western romance! Set once again during the 1870s in Fairplay, Colorado, this book is shorter than the other novels in this series. I enjoyed reading Serena and Weston's story and witnessing their unbreakable love for one another by the end of the book. Overall, another great read by Jody Hedlund that I would recommend to fellow Christian romance readers! Suitable for high school readers and older.
